The Fun in FUNdraising
Entire Classroom Parties
In addition to pay-to-play parties, introducing: Entire Classroom Parties!
What are Entire Classroom Parties:
The idea is that an entire classroom has a party at some point throughout the year during a school day.
Who hosts the party?
A team of parents get together and think of a party theme, and spread the costs among themselves.
What kinds of parties are we supposed to come up with?
Anything that is fun, builds community, is inclusive and Covid-safe.
E.g. one classroom party is having a photo gift holiday party that works like this:
–> The adults will take photos of each student individually
–> Each student will make a picture frame
–> The kids go home with a photo of themselves in the frame as a holiday gift for their families!
Why did you add Entire Classroom Parties this year?
They are a Covid-safe party option that was wanted by Montclair parents and guardians per our Otter Walk Hosted Parties survey.
The focus is on inclusivity (all kids get to participate), building community, and keeping our kids Covid-safe with their classmates.
How are Entire Classroom Parties helping to raise funds for our school?
Hosted parties are also about building community, upping the fun and they can be about learning new skills. Our mission goes beyond just raising funds.
However, as an added cherry on top, everyone is encouraged to make an additional donation to honor your classroom in the Hosted Parties pay-to-play shopping cart.
The top three classes with the most donations get a prize for their teacher!
Show your teacher love and support. And raise additional funds for our school.
WE <3 MONTCLAIR TEACHERS!!!
How do I get started?
Create a “team” of parents in your classroom to host. This means creating the idea, executing the idea, and covering the costs.
Work with your teacher to create a date for your party.
Email the Hosted Parties team by October 8:
