Where Do Your Time & Financial Donations Go?

This year, the PTA will spend approximately $800 per child on enrichment programs, school activities and committees, technology equipment, and supplies for our teachers and school. This is a big number and many families cannot write a check for that amount per child. Nonetheless, it is important that the entire school community know what we are spending over the year to provide these amazing programs to benefit our kids.

Our PTA funds these enrichment activities and classes:

  • Kinder Motor Skills
  • Small Group Specialists
  • Library
  • Art
  • Music
  • Drama
  • Technology
  • Garden
  • Scholarships for field trips
  •  Special Projects (up to Ms. Austin’s discretion)

Our PTA funds these Montclair School employees

  • Dr. Susan DeMersseman, School Climate Specialist – (part-time)
  • Playground Supervisors during recess and lunch
  • Salad Bar Manager

Our PTA funds these school committees and annual events:

  • Green Team
  • Diversity Committee for Heritage Day
  • Safety and Disaster Preparedness Committee
  • Garden Committee
  • Founder’s Day Luncheon – Volunteer Celebration
  • Grade Promotion Celebration & 5th Grade Gold
  • Field Trip Scholarships

How Do We Raise the Funds?

Montclair Elementary School Parents donate countless hours to raise the funds to help make this school all that it is.  These funds are raised through:

  • General fundraising Education Fund
  • Corporate matching gift programs
  • All-in community OtterWalk
  • Parent’s only night out Otter Bash
  • Pay-to-Play parties for kids and adults
  • AmazonSmile, E-Scrip

We all have something to give to our school, through donation of time, services, or funds…we all benefit from these efforts.  Please consider how you may be able to help out over the years to come:

  •  Join the PTA
  •  Volunteer
  •  Make a one-time donation of one-month’s pre-school tuition, and/or set up a monthly recurring donation debit through www.montclairschool.com/donate
  •  After you donate, engage with your company’s corporate matching program to ensure your donation is matched
