Welcome Back! Registration Information for the 2015-16 School Year

Aug. 24 is the First Day of School!
In order to register your child at an OUSD school for the 2015-16 school year, your child must either already be attending the school or have been assigned to the school by the Student Assignment Center. If you still need to enroll your child in an OUSD school and receive a school assignment, please see the Enrollment Process http://www.ousd.org/Page/11486.

REGISTER ONLINE:

Students may now register online! In order to do so, each active student as of July 31st will receive a letter with links and a verification code as well as Student ID to log in into Aeries.NET. You can start by creating a parent/guardian account at: https://parent.ousd.org with a valid email address. Once you have your account set up, use the information you receive in the letter to link your account to your child’s record. OUSD will mail the letters with the codes to parents this week. If you do not receive the code by Thursday, please contact the Montclair Elementary office and they can assist with the Verification Code and the data you need to complete the process. Remember that online registrants still need to bring documentation to the school site!

New Families: Monday August 17 and Tuesday August 18 8:30 am – 3:30 pm in the Main Office
Returning Families: Friday August 21 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room

If your child is registering for the first time at a particular school, please bring the following items with you to registration:
Immunization Card – A copy of the student’s immunization card/record indicating that all appropriate shots have been completed by a licensed doctor
Please note: Your child will not be allowed to register if the school does not have immunization records on file.

Returning families: If you are not able to attend the registration on Friday, August 21st- please send your registration documents with a friend or bring them to the office next week or Monday morning. You do not need to be present the entire time. You need to arrive between the hours of 3:00 PM-7:00 PM and turn in your registration documents from the OUSD portal, sign up for Dad’s club, PTA, or to volunteer if you desire, get your teacher assignment and you may leave. If you turn in your forms at any other time (not Friday) your class assignment will be emailed to you next weekend.

Incoming kinder families: you will receive your teacher assignment at the new parent mixer on Thursday, August 20th. Please join the sub-group incoming families to see additional details about that event.

Once you find out who your teacher is on Thursday evening, Friday or over the weekend. Please go into Big Tent and join your class subgroup.
