BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

Come dressed as your favorite characters this Friday, September 26th at 7pm for the Dads’ Club movie presentation of Star Wars. The show will be presented outdoors in the main MES school yard, so bring blankets and chairs. Lots of food will be available for sale and all proceeds will benefit the 5th grade’s overnight spring trip–so come hungry! See the attached flyer for additional information. Please note that this is NOT a drop-off event.

OTTER WALK

The “Otter This World” Otter Walk is just over three weeks away! We hope you are planning to attend our biggest student-centered fundraising and community-building event of the year on Saturday, October 18th, 8am-4pm. It’s time to start securing sponsors! For tips, please see our website and otterwalk.dojiggy.com or the packet that went home. Don’t forget, all proceeds from the Otter Walk support MES enrichment programs.

“All Hands on Deck” Otter Walk Meeting, Thursday, October 2nd at 7:30pm, in the Multipurpose Room. Calling all current committee members, class reps, and those interested in getting more involved. RSVP to if you plan to attend or would like more information about how you can help.

Get Your Walk On! Otter Walk Training Program

Otter Walk Volunteers (experienced athletes and one of our very own PE teachers) will lead three Otter Walk training sessions. On the last three Fridays before the Otter Walk, we will lead the kids in a brief stretch and walk the course for a half hour. Kids must come with their adult(s). Dates: October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 3-3:30pm. Meet at the Garden!

ASE PICK-UP NOTICE

Please note that students who take after-school enrichment classes must be picked up from their ASE classrooms at dismissal time. To ensure the safety of our students, ASE instructors will not release your child to meet you in the parking lot, curbside on Mountain Blvd., etc. ASE instructors will wait 10 minutes after class for pick-ups. After that, they will escort AT kids and anyone who has not been picked up to AT. Montclair Rec representatives will pick up the students who go to their after-school care program.
