TONIGHT– PARENTING WORKSHOP: DEVELOPING KIDS INTO INNOVATORS
Camp Galileo CEO and Founder, Glen Tripp, will lead this parent workshop tonight, 7-8:30pm, in the Multipurpose Room. Learn practical tips on how to cultivate confident creators and problem solvers. Learn the 5 ways to encourage your kids to be innovators by being: visionary, courageous, collaborative, determined and reflective. Childcare, including pizza dinner, is still available! OTTER BALL COUNTDOWN

Did you know? The current Berkeley Playhouse was formerly a church designed by Julia Morgan! She considered St. John’s Presbyterian Church, which was desanctified and sold in 1974, to be her finest Craftsman-style building. The structure is #8 on Berkeley’s list of historic landmarks and is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
SAVE THE DATE: KIDS’ NIGHT OUT
Mark your calendars: Friday, March 27, 6-9pm, is the next Dads’ Club Kids Night Out! This month’s movie isPenguins of Madagascar. Come drop off your kids in the Multipurpose Room. They’ll get pizza, popcorn, a movie and dance party; and you’ll get a night out! Pizza and snacks will begin at 6pm. Prices are $25 for the first child, $15 for every sibling after that. Proceeds will go towards the Field Trip T-shirts fund for the 2015-2016 Kinders! Don’t forget blankets, pillows, and water bottles. To sign up in advance, click here. SPANISH LANGUAGE SUMMER CAMP
PARENT WORKSHOP: BRING BACK THE PASSION TO PARENTING
Too often parenting can feel like a chore as we try to balance the demands of family, work, and home. Chabot Elementary PTA invites you to a parent workshop on Thursday, March 19, 6:30-7:30pm, at Chabot Elementary Multipurpose Room. Dr. Lara Honos-Webb, an award-winning author and parent educator, will be leading a parent workshop to show us how to bring the passion back into parenting. Dr. Honos-Webb is also a specialist in ADHD in children and has written the book, The Gift of ADHD, which is on the recommended reading list of the American Psychiatric Association. MARCH FOR THE SCHOOLS OAKLAND STUDENTS DESERVE
Join Oakland teachers, students and families to March for the Schools Oakland Students Deserve. This family-friendly event will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 4-6pm. Pre-march activities will begin at San Antonio Park (18th Avenue and Foothill), followed by a rally and march to OUSD headquarters. Please see the attached flyers for information.
