FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHT
Please join us for a fun-filled evening of science experiments this Thursday, March 12, 6-7:30pm in the Multipurpose Room. Visit science stations to learn: Why do chemical reactions explode? How big can a bubble get? How do you build a marshmallow tower? Why do chemicals change colors? How do bones work? And much more! The kids will need parental help to guide them through their process to get the maximum benefit. Therefore, this is NOT a drop off event. Parents or other adult family members are expected to participate with their child. Please sign up your child through the Family Science Night link. We also need volunteers to manage the experiment stations. You just need to arrive at 5:30pm to be trained and get ready. If you’re able to volunteer, please sign up through the link as well. Questions? Email .
PARENTING WORKSHOP: DEVELOPING KIDS INTO INNOVATORS
Camp Galileo CEO and Founder, Glen Tripp, will lead this parent workshop on Wednesday, March 18, 7-8:30pm, in the Multipurpose Room. Learn practical tips on how to cultivate confident creators and problem solvers. Find out how this can be applied to the Common Core curriculum to make your child more successful! There will be limited childcare, including pizza dinner, so please click here to register.
GREEN FOLDER OPTIONS
The MES Green Team program is back up and running! Our aim is to save paper by scanning community handouts and flyers. You have the option to receive these electronically, instead of getting the hardcopies in the weekly Green Folder. If you would like to receive most of the weekly Green Folder content by email and haven’t already opted out, please send a message to and include your name, your child’s name and teacher. If you don’t remember what option you chose previously, your Green Folder should have a sticker on it indicating if you have opted to receive hard copies or electronic copies.
REMINDER TO RETURN LIBRARY BOOKS
Don’t miss your child’s report card—turn in those overdue library books! Report cards will be handed out thisFriday, March 13, so it’s time to round up all of those overdue library books your children might have lurking under their beds, in their backpacks or in their desks at school. You won’t be able to get your student’s report card until all overdue books are turned in, or if lost, paid for at the school library. The teachers have up-to-date lists of all overdue books and they can verify your child’s status. Have more questions? Send an email to .
