This is John’s second and final year as PTA Parliamentarian, as his twin sons David and Patrick are moving on to Montera after this year. He is one of the oldest parents at Montclair. At age 62, you could say he’s old enough to know better. Better than who or what, you might ask. An East Bay native, he grew up in Martinez and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1976 with a BA in Political Science. He earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Cal State East Bay, the institution formerly know as CSU Hayward. For the past 26 years he has worked in various capacities for the Development Office at UC San Francisco. He and his wife Lisa Taylor moved to Montclair in 2009, to the house her parents bought in 1970. Her grandparents built a house on Harbord Drive in 1923, so the roots in Montclair go deep for this family.
