Get Connected

Join Member Hub to stay up to date with the latest at Montclair Elementary.

We use member hub for all school communications – including school-wide emails and classroom emails. If your child is attending Montclair Elementary this year and you’re not already on Member Hub, please take a moment to register so you don’t miss any important communications.

To get on the school and class email lists *you* must log in to Member Hub and add yourself. For new incoming families, please do not join member hub until August 1 of the new school year.

You can login to Member Hub here:

https://montclair.memberhub.com/hub/Montcl81790

Frequently asked questions:

1) How do I sign up?

Go to the Member hub direct link: https://montclair.memberhub.com/hub/Montcl81790

Once you are registered, you can log in at https://app.memberhub.com, or go to http://www.montclairschool.com/about/get-connected/ to find a login page to Member Hub

Join your class through your web browser: Once your child is assigned his or her teacher for the school year, you go into Member Hub, under “join open hubs”, select your child’s teacher and join your class. You can also join other subgroups like Dad’s club, 2017 Incoming families for families who are new to Montclair Elementary and AT for families who are in the AT program. You can not join via the app. Click here to join your class

2) How does it work?

You can email hubs through Member Hub, or through email.

Through Member Hub, in your hub, click “messages” on the left hand side of the page, choose your recipients, choose to send the message as an announcement or discussion, “post message”.

Through email, send an email to the hub from your email account. Hubs follow the same basic format:

dad’sclub@discuss.memberhub.com or 2017-incoming-families@discuss.memberhub.com for example.

You *must* use the email you signed up with, or the list will not recognize you and bounce your message.

3) Who will be on the lists?

All teachers will be on the lists but may not choose to get the messages (they can opt for digest, everything, web only).

We are hoping for 100% participation of parents and guardians, since this is the only way for Principal Austin, the PTA, room parents, and even teachers to communicate with parents via email.

All school-wide announcements, letters from the Principal, and the weekly school-wide newsletter will only be sent through Member Hub.

Additional info:

Who is assigning access to each group?

Except for limited groups that have more privacy settings and require invitation, you can add yourself to the groups you need. Is your child switching classes? You can move yourself! Need to change your email address? You can update it yourself! Much more power is in the hands of parents, rather than having to wait for one person to do it for you. Join your child’s class and other groups that you are interested in like Dad’s club and AT families.

What is the policy for posting on groups?

The policy for class groups remains the same as in previous years. School-related posts are fine. Ads, announcements from outside groups or parties, and anything for commercial purposes is not.

How do I control the number of emails I receive from Member Hub?

You can control what emails you receive from the group, but the group leaders may still email the entire group from time-to-time. You can adjust your preferences in “hub settings”.

To change your email options online, click on personal settings and choose when you would like to be notified by email or text.

Is there a Member Hub app?

There is a Member Hub app for iPhone, which is available for download at the iTunes store. Download the
app and you can connect to your community on the go and take your forums with you!

If you have any further questions, please get in touch at pta-vp- tech@montclairelementaryschool.org.
